Thorfinn Thorsson--or more affectionately, Karlsefni--is a former warrior of Askeladd's band, one-time slave on Ketil's farm, and current trader/explorer with grand ambitions of settling Vinland. The protagonist of Vinland Saga, Thorfinn grew up in Iceland, son of legendary Jomsviking Thors and Helga, daughter of Jomsviking's 3rd Chief, Sigvaldi. His sister's name? Ylva, of course.
