Can Saitama Really Win In One Punch?

Can Saitama Really Win In One Punch?

"His name is One Punch Man!"

Says the fan that inexplicably can't wrap their head around power scaling.

"He's a GAG CHARACTER. He's written to beat everyone in punch!"

Says the fan that doesn't know there are enemies in the OPM that have tanked multiple punches from Saitama.

OPM fans are just under the misinformed stance that Saitama can defeat everyone, everywhere, every time, in just one punch, because it's his namesake but they never decide to delve deeper into the conversation.

The significance in Saitama's amazing speed, strength and durability feats, comes from the fact he's just lightyears ahead of all other heroes in his world. Some of the heroes that Saitama overshadows would do exceptionally well in other anime universes. Their powers, strengths and weaknesses are well displayed but the writing of the series, pushes them down to mere fodder, only to always be saved and/or outclassed by Saitama.

A sentiment felt across anime/manga fandom when you think about Goku's role in the DB universe and the subsequent, sudden weakness of every other Z-Fighter.

Maybe there's a slight nod to the glaring similarity, highlighted by Krillin inexplicably becoming super powerful by lifting weights, the way Saitama got his strength by regular training.

While there are several anime and comic characters that Saitama would NOT be able to defeat in one punch, let alone even touch them, we completely understand based on his current feats, Saitama is one shotting 90% of anime universes.
